Irresistible Inking Technique

For this card, I utilised the Crystal Frames stamp set from Altenew. To create my focal point, I applied the ink pad directly onto a clear acrylic block, then lightly spritzed it with water. After turning it over, I pressed it directly onto my watercolour paper. I repeated this process a few times with the inks from the Deep Blue Seas set. To create the outer images, I used the ink smooshing technique with colours from Shades Of Purple set, Deep Blue Seas set and Jet Black ink. I heat embossed the outline of the image in gold then mounted the focal image with foam tape. For the remaining pieces, I adhered them with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment with Jet Black ink and also splattered the background with colours from the Spectrum noir sparkle set.

Lastly, I applied direct-to-paper inking around the edges with Sea Breeze dye ink; it provides the card with more depth and adds a different dimension. I used two techniques from the Irresistible Inking class for this card; I love how the ink on the acrylic block helps my image look more like a crystal. This geometric project would be a perfect card for a male; it has a beauty of its own without florals or embellishments, but still creates deep interest.
