For The Guys
Finally, a masculine card! I'm always into floral stamps, but a masculine themed card would be fun with some mixed media products. The card above that I made was inspired by the talented Jennifer Rzasa from Altenew's design team. To begin with, I placed the Ombre Striped stencil on top of the black heavyweight cardstock and with my palette knife, I applied the white embossing paste on top. I wanted to achieve a rugged look, so I did not smooth all the paste out. Before the paste set, I sprinkled a generous amount of Diamond Dust on top; any that didn't stick after I was able to tap it out and put it back in the jar. I considered using glitter, but the Diamond Dust fits my theme more. It gives out a sharp shine at different angles. While waiting for it to dry, I worked on my globe and sentiment. They are both from the Altenew Big World stamp and die bundle. I cut the stand and the word world out of the black glitter foam sheet.
For the globe, I stamped out six samples of different colour combinations of ink. I couldn't decide which one to use, so I placed them one by one and took a photo of each. Somehow seeing it through my phone made it easier to choose. This rainbow globe with the white helps my focal point to stand out. To add a little interest, I adhered 3 Altenew enamel dots in coordinating colours. In case you're wondering, you can use a metallic pen to write inside of the black cardstock for extra shimmer.
I hope you found some inspiration in this project, happy crafting everyone.
I'd like to enter my card into these following challenges:
